How does the XCHANGE system work?

It’s very simple.
You bring in your preloved or even NEW items and Xchange them for something of a similar quality level, then pay a small Xchange fee:

• $5 — Dancewear and shoe Xchanges

• $5 — Costume → Dancewear and/or  Xchanges (often multiple dancewear items per costume)

• $10 — Costume Xchanges

Our system is designed to give families value back, reduce waste, and keep beautiful costumes in circulation.

Do we have to Xchange?

No. You can purchase without Xchanging at very affordable prices. Many customers choose to buy outright, especially when they find a perfect piece at such an affordable price point.  

Are all items secondhand?

No. We stock a mix of NEW and preloved items. We only accept high quality and clean preloved items from dance specific brands - no cheap imitations accepted.
You’ll find new costumes, new dancewear, new gymnastics wear, and thousands of high‑quality preloved pieces.

Do you sell NEW dancewear?

Yes. We proudly stock Studio 7 Dancewear, a high‑quality, affordable Australian brand offering classwear, basics and costumes pieces.

Can you buy our costumes from us?

Unfortunately no, sorry. Our business model does not allow us to purchase items from the public.
However, our XCHANGE system gives you excellent value back on your items without the hassle of trying to sell items yourself.

What is your returns policy?

For NEW items:

• If the item is faulty, you may return it within 30 days as per Australian government requirements.

However we do not accept returns for:

• simply a change of mind

• If the item is not the correct size 

We encourage taking photos for teacher approval if needed prior to purchasing.

What if my dancer is not with me or cannot try items on?

Sizing guides and labels do not guarantee a correct fit and we encourage all items to be tried on in person to help avoid sizing errors.
We can assist you in sizing only if you have cm measurements

We can hold items for you to allow time for a fitting to take place.

Can we try on as many items as we like?

Yes. We encourage you to take your time, explore the racks, and try on as many items as you need. Finding the perfect fit is part of the fun.
